This bar far one coolest projects that I've seen. This is an audio and visual projection that's using a Lamborghini Reventon as a blanket sheet of canvas. They mapped out all the shape of the car using a 3D model so the lights know where the canvas ends. Kudos goes to the guys at The Media Merchants that made this project happen.

Ever scene I saw this car at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon, I wanted it. I saw it yesterday at the LA Auto Show, but was a bit disappointed because it was the same concept car that I've been seeing the past year or two. From the news that I've heard about this car, it will be a car on my list to get and maybe retire the GT-R as a track car... NOT! Hahahaha. History has been made! Tonight the ALPHA 12 package went back to the track with more favorable weather conditions. The result was the worlds first 8 second GT-R!

Even with a 1.668 60 foot the ALPHA 12 driven by our own Ivan Phipps went 8.975@169.49 mph!!!!!!

In addition the 60-130 time was broken again with a 3.38 60-130mph!!!!!!!!!

Andew Hadeed and Habib from Rocket Science racing in Antigua. Traction was BAD but with there slightly larger M&H drag radials it proved to be JUUUUUUUUUUUST enough to help us crack that 8 second barrier.

Failed GT-R Engine Temp Sensor

My engine temp sensor went out which caused my temps to fluctuate. The part is getting replaced under warranty.

When I discovered this issue, I was coming home from work late at night on the 10fwy. I set my cruise control to 66mph. When I got off the freeway, I flipped through my temps and I saw that my engine oil temp was bright RED reading 266 degrees. The next morning I took my car to the dealer and this is what I recorded.

No numbers provided yet, but it looks promising. It reminds me of the F1 cars that have active aero on straightaways to pass the person in front of them. This wing though seems to be more active with air braking though. This wing can be yours if you have $4,200 to shell out. This wing seems to appeal to people that want to maintain an OEM look(sort of) because they don't like the aggressive Aeromotion's active aero wings which I'm a fan of.

A member of Nagtroc decided to take the DRL from the 2012 Nissan GT-R and install them on his 2011 front bumper. There was some modification needed and from the pictures that he provided of the work so far look pretty good. The triangles you see are going to be cut to provide better airflow and cooling that mimic the Nismo GT-R and Stillen GT-R.

"A majority of our business here at AMS is building completely prepared race cars for our customers. We campaign our own very successful race team and based on those efforts/merrits we are able to provide very capable and proven race cars to our customers.

A while back we had a couple of customers work with us to build two very nice EVO track cars:

Well these two are at it again and this time they want to build a GT-R. Just like the two EVO's prior they went and bought a BRAND NEW GT-R from the dealer and sent it over to us to work our magic. This car came to us with a whopping 74 miles on it.

Today we began the tear down process on this car. The slated parts lists has some mild but effective power upgrades but just AMAZING suspension, brake and chassis work!

We plan on doing a custom exhaust to the car to optimize weight savings along with some trans cooling and a Custom AMS tuned Cobb AP to increase the power.

That is where the easy stuff ends. Along with that a very comprehensive Roll cage and suspension and brake setup will go into the car. The best of the best will be used on this build. Look for some REALLY unique and professional grade components to make their way into this car. We really hope to break some new ground in the GT-R world with this build and bring some great suspension, weight reduction and chassis ideas to the GT-R community."

Verizon CDMA iPhone 4

This is the first CDMA a iPhone that is now on the Verizon netwok which will launch next month. The new CDMA iPhone will cost $199.99 for a 16GB, $299 for a 32GB with a 2 year contract.

The only thing that sucks is that the iPhone is going to run off Verizon's old 3G network instead of their newly launched 4G-LTE network. "The reason why it's not a LTE phone is because the first-generation LTE chipsets force compromises Apple doesn't want to make, but Verizon customers want an iPhone now." - Tim Cook

You are able to use the "HotSpot" feature to connect your phone to a laptop and use it to push data across, but phone is still kind of useless since you can't do voice and data at the same time.

To sum it all up, Verizon can't seem to leave the past behind and move forward with better technology. I'm going to stay with AT&T.

Holy shit balls, the crew at AMS are at it again, but this time with their Alpha 12 package for the Nissan GT-R

"Over the past few weeks we have been doing some ALPHA 12 testing on Tim Sanders GT-R at his request. The man REALLY likes power lol.

The major changes from the 10 to the 12 are the engine and the turbo kit itself. Tim's car is now fitted with an AMS ALPHA 4.0 big bore engine and ALPHA 12 Turbo kit. The combination has proved to be pretty potent only spooling 150 rpm later than the ALPHA 10 package. The power....well it's surprising even us. This is just preliminary testing on MS109E unleaded race gas. We also kept the RPM's a little lower than we normally do to see how the kit is responding.

The result was an astonishing 1118WHP and 884 ft/lbs of Torque!

The scary thing is this kit is far from being maxed out. We have some more tuning and some more tricks up our sleeve but I think this is quite possibly the baddest power package for the GT-R YET!" -Eric Gaudi

There's a special limited pop-up shop that opened in Culver City for the movie Tron. The event was nice and a few celebs showed up. I didn't get to take that many pictures, but I'll be heading back to pick up a few items that I saw. Skyline Movie Premiere

After long months, days, nights, hours, minutes, and seconds of hard work put in from everyone that worked on Skyline, we finally got a chance to see in all it's entirety last night at the premiere in Los Angeles at LA Live. We had a great turnout and all the noise I kept hearing from the crowd after the movie was over was how much they enjoyed watching the movie. I 'm really looking forward to seeing Skyline again this weekend with a public audience and hear their reaction. So if you don't have any plans this weekend, be sure to see Skyline. If you do have plans, break'em or squeeze in the time to watch it.

PingChat VS KIK

I have an iPhone4 and I use ping to connect with my blackberry, Android, and iphone friends. What's good about it is that it's a work around for people who don't have unlimited SMS or MMS plans. PingChat goes off your data plan so you don't get dinged as much if you were to text all the time using SMS.

Kik is the same thing BUT you can't send pics. It does one thing that PingChat doesn't do and that is to check if the receiver read your message or not.

So in the end PingChat is .99 and Kik is free. I'm going to go ahead and stick to using PingChat.

"The Wall Street Journal is reporting that International Trade Commission (ITC) staffers, in a pre-hearing statement, noted that evidence in a pending patent-case Apple launched against Nokia will “not establish a violation.” Nokia and Apple have been exchanging legal blows since October of 2009; both companies have filed multiple complaints with the ITC in an attempt to get the competition’s importing rights banned.

“The ITC staff said on Monday that some of the Apple patents were invalid and others weren’t infringed,” writes the WSJ. “The statement said that if a judge determines Nokia violated patents, he should ban some Nokia phones from being imported into the U.S.”

The judge is expected to render a final decision in February."

Earlier in the week I went to the Clipper game with my boy Donnie and yes I'm a Clipper fan. This game was the season opener for them and the first game for Blake Griffin as rookie who would have started last year but he somehow injured his knee. The Clippers played the Portland Trailblazers which started off strong. Blake turned into a beast with his first dunk and score in the NBA within a minutes of the first quarter. By the end of the 3rd quarter, the Clippers had a 6 point lead and then they choked, so we ended up losing. In all I had a good time at the game.

I'm back from my mini vacation(I got back last week Thursday).
