Introducing The New Nissan GT-R Nismo!

Big news today everybody! After a short(but felt long) kept secret Nissan and Nismo have unveiled their latest creation of the Nissan GT-R, call GT-R Nismo. The GT-R Nismo produces 600hp(that's 150hp to each wheel) and 481 foot pound of torque. A few new carbon fiber and aero pieces have been added such as the "shark teeth" rear wing, front/rear bumpers, custom Nismo rims, and seats. Here's the listed info and specs below:

-- Nissan GT-R Nismo Joins 2014 Nissan GT-R --
  • World premiere of race-inspired version of Nissan's legendary GT-R
  • 600hp (441kw) for blistering performance
  • Advanced aerodynamics generating additional 100kg*1 of downforce at 300km/h (186mph) for exceptional road-holding

YOKOHAMA, Japan (November 19, 2013) – Records fall and dreams come true with the debut of the Nissan GT-R Nismo. This race-oriented model delivers “factory tuned" supercar dynamics with revolutionary enhanced aerodynamics and ultra-precise handling. The Nissan GT-R is already established as one of the best performing supercars in the automotive sphere, and now Nissan has drawn on decades of racing experience gathered by Nismo, the brand's motorsport specialists, to develop the ultimate Nissan GT-R.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo features exclusive styling that embraces the longstanding racing philosophy of form following function. It has numerous motorsports-inspired technologies to enhance the car's performance through optimised aerodynamics, suspension and powertrain, creating a well-balanced machine that is at home on both the road and track.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available in Japan in late February 2014, U.S. and Europe later in 2014.

Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn says this is the fastest Nissan GT-R ever. "With a 7:08.679 lap time, we can authoritatively say that the Nissan GT-R Nismo*2 holds the volume production car lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which is the gold standard of high performance achievement."

Nissan GT-R Nismo Overview - Flagship of the Nismo lineup

1. Mechanical Features
Nissan GT-R Nismo employs innovation, uncompromising engineering and motorsports-inspired technologies to achieve new levels of power, speed and handling.

  • Under the hood, the 3.8-liter V6 VR38DETT engine benefits from the know-how that Nismo has gained from participating in such events as the world-renowned Nürburgring 24 hour race. Engine power has risen and is now rated at 600PS (441kw) and 481 lb ft (652 Nm) of torque.
  • New high-flow, large capacity turbochargers, which are used for GT3 racing, improve breathing, while optimized individual ignition timing control for each cylinder and upgraded fuel pump improve combustion.

  • The springs and custom-developed Bilstein DampTronic dampers in the front and rear suspension are specially tuned to deliver exceptional grip levels and progressive handling response at the limit. Three suspension modes can be selected: Comfort, Normal and R, for circuit applications.
  • Exclusive Nismo tires – developed by Dunlop - exhibit outstanding grip and handling characteristics. Front: 255/40 ZRF20; rear 285/35 ZRF20.
  • Specially-developed links fitted to the front double wishbone suspension increase castor trail to optimize wheel position during high-G cornering and improve straight-line and cornering stability. Additionally, large high-rigidity bolts are used to increase stiffness of the wheel-hub attachment area.
  • To minimize body-roll during cornering and changes of direction, the Nissan GT-R Nismo features a 17.3 mm hollow rear anti-roll bar which raises roll stiffness while reducing weight.

Body construction
  • Increased rigidity in the bodyshell is achieved using adhesive bonding in addition to spot welding leading to precise suspension response under extreme load, the Nismo “factory tuned" enhancement.

2. Exterior design - Exclusive styling with improved aerodynamics
  • Using the latest Computational Fluid Dynamic simulation techniques to analyze airflow, Nismo has developed an aero package that improves road-holding, minimizes the negative impact of drag, while giving the car a menacing and muscular appearance.
  • Together, the front bumper, engine undercover strake and carbon rear spoiler increase downforce, lowering the center of gravity and generating an additional 100kg*1 (at 300km/h) compared to the freshly updated 2014 Nissan GT-R model. The car's aerodynamic characteristics are tuned to ensure the downforce is equally spread front to rear at all speeds for progressive handling characteristics. A widened front bumper configuration and elongated yet tapered rear bumper design keep the drag to Cd 0.26, same with that of 2014 Nissan GT-R.
  • The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available in five body colors: Brilliant White Pearl, Meteor Flake Pearl Black, Ultimate Metallic Silver and Vibrant Red. And unique to the GT-R Nismo model, a Dark Matte Grey*3 accentuates the car's imposing exterior muscularity.
  • The GT-R Nismo's black 6-spoke wheels are inspired by Nissan's GT-R race car which races in the GT500 class in SUPER GT.

3. Interior
  • The Nissan GT-R Nismo cockpit inspires driver confidence through both its craftsmanship and optimized driving position.
  • Ergonomically sculpted carbon-fiber-backed reclining RECARO seats (Europe/Japan) comfortably, yet firmly, support the driver and front-seat passenger.
  • Nismo racers influenced the design of the steering wheel which is dressed in Alcantara®, with three spokes, red center mark and red stitching to give the best combination of grip, feedback and comfort.
  • The combi meter has carbon-like finish, and tachometer features a red design. The meter hood is also dressed with Alcantara®.
  • Interior trim features include discreet red stitching on the seats, center console, door trim and steering wheel.

  • *2: Nissan GT-R Nismo with track options
  • *3: Dark Matte Grey will be available starting from summer in 2014.

Ever since I've heard about the GT-R finally coming to the states, I knew that I had to have it and I made it a goal of mine to do just that. I waited and waited until the the day it was finally announced around this exact time 6 years ago in 2007. In July of 2008 I finally accomplished that goal. I became a GT-R owner for the first time and I absolutely fell in love with it. 2 years after owning it, I painted my GT-R the most known and popular color that Nissan offered on their Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec, Midnight Purple 3. Fast forward to today with many fun track days with fellow GT-R owners, fun events and drives, meeting new people, friends, and Nissan employees from all over the world that share the same enthusiasm about the GT-R as much as I do. I would would say that it's time for me to pass on my beauty and upgrade to the GT-R Nismo. Today I feel the same excitement that I felt back in 2007 and I'm super excited to make this a goal of mine. I'd like to thank Tamura-san and Kaneko-san for making this all happen and Carl Phillips for also putting together a great GT-R track day experience at Laguna Seca(last year) and the now famous Circuit of The Americas back in June of this year. I look forward to doing more with you all.

Nostalgia [Instrumental "Love Line" By Blu and Exile

This version is just as good as Blu & Exile's Love Lines. I simply love this version

By Esquire

Its been a long day, just got to my apartment
I reach and grab my key from up under my carpet
Open up the door and take a step into the darkness
I shiver, a cold midnight in August
Take off my shoes, and I look inside my fridge
Leftover pasta some leftover ribs
Not hungry, musta lost my appetite
I take an apple bite, kinda like the apple type
like the logo on my ipod, or on my itunes
I Press play, Marvin singing midnight blues
Soon Ill be Loving You Again
As I put it on repeat, I wonder how long has it been
Maybe about a week, though it seems like a year
Like a lifetime, last time you were near
The last time you were here,
things ended kinda bitterly, feeling like you gradually killing me
now you no longer my girlfriend
Im still tryna figure how did my world end.
I draw the blinds on my room window
dead roses on my pillow, My bed colder than below zero
I havent slept in it since Friday
Since the this-aint-gonna-work-i-gotta-say-goodbye-day
Since the baby-please-you-gotta-tell-me-why-day
Since the look-theres-another-guy day
A man once said that things fall apart
We lost the spark now im having black thoughts
Looking at our picture, betrayal and sorrow in a mixture
I know you wouldnt care if I forgive ya
still see your face when I turn the lights off
When I reminisce over you my God
And I just hate..being without ya
Got me up late, love and nostalgia...

Chuckwalla Raceway 11.24.2013

This past weekend some friends and I went to Chuckwalla Raceway near Palm Springs. We all had fun as usual. This was my first time at this track. That fastest time that I put down was 2:08. The next track event will be our annual trip at Laguna Seca towards the end of June with the usual suspects again. Enjoy the pics!
