Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all. 2009 was a year that had some difficult times and a few that still linger, but most importantly it had some good times. Most people are excited and looking forward to 2010, but I don't share the same feeling at all. I'm just going to take it as another day and keep pushing on. I had dealt with some interesting moments in 2009 that weren't fun to say the least. One was dealing with a break up that was very hard to get through and it took awhile to get over, but it still comes back because to know that you were the cause of it all really takes it home. You think of ways on how you can improve yourself, but it all takes time and forgiveness. Then in the beginning of 2009, I almost lost my uncle who was and still is the father figure in my life.

On a brighter note, I did have some fun times meeting new people and some became friends and others well just randoms. I managed to snowboard this year a few times and every time I went, I felt I got my life back. I was out and having fun and doing what I love to do. Other fun moments involved my track days. Man talk about a rush and sharing that same feeling with other people that love it too. I'm glad that Gladys got experience that with me(thank you for being a friend). Big up to my friend's Moon, Rolls, Ed, and Lloyd that came out to celebrate my 30th birthday with me in Vegas.

I have one thing that I'm looking forward to in the new year and that is going to Japan next week for a 10days. It's been 2 years since my last stay and I miss it. Other than that I'm not hoping for anything to happen because I'm going to make it happen and come out on top.

"Further details about the Nexus One have emerged since we reported about its exclusivity with Google this morning. It will be apparently be sold by Google for $530 unsubsidized, and $180 with a T-Mobile plan. If you do sign up for a plan and cancel within 120 days of purchase, you’ll have to cough up the remainder of the total cost of the phone — $350, or return the phone to Google."

Universal Studios

On Sunday I really go to Universal Studios, but I was next to it. I was there because I met up with Darin, Natasha, Adam, and his wife for breakfast/brunch. While waiting for them to show up I see one of the actors from NBC's "Community" Donald Glover. I find him rather funny and I got a chance to have my picture taken with him.

Weekend Wrap Up(almost)

This week was interesting to say the least. I learned a bit more about myself and I also had some fun. This week started off with the usual(work) and I got to decorate the Christmas tree with the fam bam. Saturday came and went because it was very busy. I drove out to Fontana to a Nissan meet at Fontana Nissan. As soon as a jump onto the 10 freeway I see Terrance to my left in his blue GT-R and newly equipped Aeromotion's S2 wing. We both were heading the same direction(Arcadia) to meet up with a caravan to Fontana. We arrived at the meeting spot with several GT-R's waiting. The first car I see was Steve's car from Password JDM. That car has nothing but carbon fiber on it. The carbon fiber seats that he made for are amazing. After sitting in them, I decided that I WANT them. There were a few other cars there too. We all rallied upped in the rain and headed to Fontana Nissan.

Fontana Nissan pulled off a great event during the rain, no one seemed to mind really. There were a several 240's, 350z's, 370z's, pickup trucks, and of course the Nissan GT-R's. They provided Tommy's for everyone that came out and there was even a raffle in which I won a set of Berk Technology Hi Flow cats for a 370z. In all it was a good event and I got to hang out with a few of my friends. Later that evening I went to a Holiday party hosted by my friend Adam Bruce. I had a few drinks and a jello shot. A few more people showed up and we started playing Forza 3.

After the Holiday party I met up with my boy Moon and we jetted off to the Roosevelt for the Luxury 4 Play Gold Rush DVD release and Gold Rush 2KX party. It was cool to see those guys again. I got a copy of the DVD and I can't wait to watch it. After that Moon and I headed to the Echoplex for some event that J-Logic was throwing. I really didn't have a god time there because it wasn't my steeze at all. I'm not a big fan of GasLamp Killer or Dam Funk. I'm sure they're cool peoples, but their music just doesn't appeal to me at all. The funniest thing that happened that night was when we were outside, this kid was sitting down on the bench. He went to get up, but lost footing, more like he didn't move his feet at all the walk and he fell and tumbled onto his face. Moon and I couldn't stop laughing about it. What made even more funny was that he chilin' there for a minute and he started hollaring at these girls that saw the whole thing. I guessing he was trying to play it off like nothing happened. So yeah that's about it. Sunday Morning I have Buckets & Brunch(almsot like a Cars and Coffee meet) and then the rest of the day is free to do whatever.

peace

The Best Christmas Decoration EVER!

Greg sends along this FYI:

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations.

The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days.

I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever.

Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy).

By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that.

My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

Tokyo 2010

Well kids it sure has been a minute since I last traveled overseas. I'm here t let you guys know that I'm going back to Japan. It's been almost 2 years and that's way too long for me. The main purpose of this trip is to make contacts, talk to a few people about an idea that I have that involves num nums hahahaha, Tokyo Auto Salon, and last but not least, hang out with my friends and family out there. I was thinking about making a stop into Osaka, but I'm afraid that I won't have time to unless I do a crazy turn around trip(that's too gangsta for for me hahahaha). The other thing is that is going to be COLD as balls. I'm leaving next month so I can't wait!

Death to Analog... RIP

I have been fortunate to have owned a pair of Technics SL1200's and I've seen some amazing things happen on the 1's and 2's. It's sad to hear that they are now going to discontinue the 12's

via: inthemix.com.au

The DJing community and the greater dance music scene mourns the loss of a clubbing staple today. No, Steve Aoki hasn’t hung up his record bag, but rather news has emerged that iconic turntable manufacturers Technics will be stopping production on their universally loved Technics 1200s and Technics 1210s.

In a statement re-posted on dance board Global Hardstyle, the company behind the production of the Technics turntables Panasonic announced that they would cease the manufacture of Tehcnics turntables in February next year, citing an increasing decline in sales as the motivation behind the line’s demise.

The Australian arm of Panasonic issued a similar statement today, expressing their disappointment that the brand’s 35 years-and-running legacy was to be put to bed.

“It is a sad day today but due to low sales globally in analogue turntables a decision to stop production has been made on Technics Turntables,” Panasonic spokesman Ian North explained. “For Australia this means we will receive our last shipment in March.”

With the disappearance of Technics decks now imminent it’s becoming increasingly clear that the digital juggernaut is showing no signs of slowing down. We’ve already heard from trance icon Tiesto how he’s abandoned the ‘outdated’ medium in favour and gone for the ease and accessibility of digital tune libraries. Indeed, the new (and might we just say super-sexy) CDJ-2000s from Pioneer look to be making things easier than ever before with USB stick functionality, employed just last weekend by another digital convert Sasha.
