2009 Gumball 3000 Los Angeles-Miami

The 11th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally -
1st-8th May, 2009 -
"Coast to Coast"

Following the success of the 10th Anniversary rally from San Francisco to the Beijing Olympics, including the "ground breaking" night in deepest darkest North Korea, Gumball 3000 has decided to go back to its roots in 2009, with a classic "coast to coast" road trip, from sea to shining sea; Los Angeles to Miami.

The 3000 mile route, incorporating stops in Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Santa Fe, Dallas, and New Orleans will embellish Gumball's core values of uniting people through popular culture and the language of the motorcar.

Showcasing 120 of the most fantastic cars ever built, including vintage, customised and luxury Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Aston Martins and Bugattis alongside America's finest muscle cars and today’s 'greenest' hybrid and electric vehicles of the future, the Gumball will create a spectacle for all to enjoy.

With crowds turning out last year in their hundreds of thousands to glimpse Hollywood's A-list participants and experience automobile heaven, when the Gumball festival comes to town in May 2009 the 'pomp and circumstance will also be fuelled with custom car displays and the added element of a live music series. Bands will be driving in the rally by day and performing live each night. Expect to see some major headliners and a few guest appearances as the tour unfolds!

For a taste of things to come, check out the highlights from 2008 on Gumball's YouTube channel and enjoy watching David Hasselhoff driving the original Knight Rider Trans Am (better known as KITT), Jackass's Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn and Loomis Fall in a 1960 VW Camper (complete with a Porsche 911 engine), supermodel Tyson Beckford and comedian Orlando Jones in a prototype Range Rover, the Playmate Dahm triplets in a McLaren Mercedes SLR, along with Alfonso Ribeiro (aka the Fresh Prince's Carlton Banks), pro skaters Bucky Lasek, Sal Barbier and Felix Arguelles, taking part alongside Middle Eastern Princes and Sheiks, Russian billionaires, and Europe's wildest rock stars.
